Dr. Naomi Szwarcbard initially graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science (Physiology & Immunology), followed by a post-graduate Doctor of Medicine. She undertook internship and basic physician training at The Alfred Hospital. Her specialist training in endocrinology was completed at The Alfred Hospital and Western Health, as well as a clinical research fellowship working with the Australian National Diabetes Audit (ANDA) through Monash University. During her time with ANDA she contributed to the writing of their annual report, as well as the Australian Living Evidence-Based Clinical Guidelines for Diabetes – Medications for blood glucose management in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Naomi welcomes referrals in all areas of endocrinology, including all types of diabetes, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary diseases, men’s and women’s hormonal issues, endocrine disorders in pregnancy, and osteoporosis. Naomi also consults privately at the Diabetes Specialist Centre (St Kilda Rd), and at The Alfred Hospital.
