Dr. Jasna Aleksova graduated from the University of Melbourne and undertook her physician training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. She completed her endocrine and diabetes specialist training at Monash health and continues to have strong affiliations with both hospitals.
She completed her PhD in metabolic bone disorders and has a strong research focus on osteoporosis and bone health associated with chronic kidney disease, transplant recipients, chronic inflammatory conditions, and bone health in younger patients.
She is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Hudson Institute for Medical Research and Monash University with ongoing research in reproductive hormones and musculoskeletal health. Her work has been highly regarded and she has been the recipient of numerous research awards.
Dr. Aleksova is a senior staff specialist in the metabolic bone clinics at St Vincent’s hospital, Monash Health and the Alfred hospital. She also works in the specialised diabetes services and additionally has an interest in endocrine conditions associated with pregnancy, working in a dedicated endocrine & pregnancy service at Monash Health.
In her clinical practice at Malvern she consults on all aspects of diabetes and general endocrinology.
